Build Log

Where it starts.

Covex is new, and the honest place to prove a process is on your own car. These are the first three parts — designed, tooled, and fitted on a 2025 Honda Accord.

Each one is in development. Photos go up as the work happens rather than after the fact, so this page will fill in as the parts come together.

Front Splitter

2025 Honda Accord · 2×2 Twill · Finish TBC

The first part, and deliberately the hardest place to start — a splitter has to follow the bumper's lower edge exactly or the gap shows from every angle. The plan is to take the shape off the car, build a mold from it, and lay the part up in 2×2 twill with mounting tabs bonded in so it lands on existing hardware rather than needing new holes drilled.

Mirror Caps

2025 Honda Accord · 2×2 Twill · Finish TBC

Small parts, but a good test of finish quality — mirror caps sit at eye level and get looked at closely. They also have compound curves, which makes them a genuine test of whether the layup follows the shape without bridging. Direct replacement for the factory caps, no adhesive.

Rear Diffuser

2025 Honda Accord · 2×2 Twill · Finish TBC

The largest of the three and the one that will take the most tooling. The aim is a diffuser that follows the factory rear valance line rather than hanging below it, with fin sections that can be replaced individually if one gets caught on a driveway.
